Hum A Cappella has been more than just a team; it’s a community that shaped my personal and artistic growth. As a member, I’ve had the privilege of traveling across the U.S. to cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Davis, and North Carolina, building friendships with students from 28 other universities who share my passion for music. Hum has not only brought me closer to my South Asian roots but also provided a platform to express and celebrate them. My journey from a general member to the Social Media Manager and now External Director has been transformative. As Social Media Manager, I enhanced our online presence, positioning our team for greater opportunities. Now, as External Director, I oversee outreach, marketing, and fundraising, with a focus on promoting not just Hum but the entire South Asian a cappella community. The friendships, the performances, and the collective drive to innovate have defined my experience. Hum is more than music—it’s a movement, and I’m proud to be a part of it.
